At the get go, Schubert has shown keen interest in our project and was open to our ideas. He also presented a 3D sketch in one of the first few meetings before any contract was signed showing his dedication. We chose to work with Schubert due to his design sense, calm composure, track record seen in Qanvast, and cost reasonableness. Our reno did take longer than the average home (nearly a year), partly also due to us as new home owners trying to finalise the design. Although on hindsight, having some additional clarity on timeline or priority in the phases would also help us to anticipate on what we should focus on. Design wise our final 3D mock ups did resemble our final home very well. The mock ups were done by Wey Chyr. Our friends and family have given positive feedback over the japandi minimalism wabi sabi look. – we wanted a softer dining room look and he proposed a curve ceiling feature that turned out really nice – we were considering imported skylights, he has proposed a japanese skylight that is a centerpiece in our home – we wanted curves in several areas and they were done nicely in the kitchen, living, foyer, bedroom – he proposed a seat in the master bathroom shower which we really like and use often Quality wise we are only a few months in and things seem to be generally fine. If there has been any issues, Schubert usually follows up promptly especially those related to functionality and safety. The experts that he sends over are well versed with the work. No home reno journey will be completely smooth sailing, but Schubert has addressed issues that have cropped up in a reasonable manner before handover and after handover. This to us is very important as first time home owners as we have heard of IDs who have gone mia after handover. If anything, I would chose an ID with good service over anything else. We would also like to specially mention that we also appreciate his support in pushing boundaries of design with us, like buiding a 2m tall window in our bathroom although facing rejections from HDB initially, a walkway at the corridor with a pullout bed, concealed aircon. Even though the last feature may not have turned out not so feasible, but there were design considerations in place and based off our requests. It has been a great learning journey together too. In November 2023, we started a four-month interior renovation with Anhans Interior Design. We’re happy to have Annie and Schubert on board, and their touch has truly transformed our home into a haven of comfort, style and visually appealing space. I decided to work with Schubert after talking to four other interior designers. He was recommended by my cousin, when most of my friends wouldn’t recommend their interior designers. What drew me to Schubert initially were his impressive past projects, and he was the only ID I met who provided a first quote that was aligned with the budget I had in mind ( for full transparency, I increase my budget considerably as the project progresses as certain choices came at higher cost). I’m pleased with Schubert’s design work. One thing I really appreciate is how well he can execute different design styles. I shared a compilation of what I liked on Pinterest, and it was great to see some of those ideas seamlessly integrated into my final design. I feel that some mistakes and hiccups are part and parcel of reno projects. Based on my personal experience, areas with room for improvement would include expediting the resolution of certain issues. We have been engaging Schubert for a long time – even before we secured the ownership of the house we now live in. It was a good experience articulating our vision to him and he was able to create the look and feel that we wanted. We aimed to transform a 50-year-old HDB flat into a bright, spacious place for us and our children, and Schubert successfully did so. More importantly, Schubert and Wey Chyr were able to accommodate our numerous requests and was able to keep the renovation budget to a reasonable cost. Any quality issues that were detected after we moved in have been promptly resolved and we are glad that after-moving in service has also not been affected.

Me and my mom decided to engage Schubert from Anhans after meeting quite a number of interior designers due to lots of reasons. Firstly I am one of those clients who already have my own pre-renovation “moodboard pictures” and knew what I want right from the start. We also have challenges as our project timeline was very short (we have less than 10 weeks to complete) and not to mention that myself, being in the Design/ Fashion industry, do agree that I could be a “lil demanding” and have certain expectations when it comes to design aesthetics. So, on our first quotation/ discussion meet up, Schubert impressed us with his ability to listen without any touch of arrogance/ negative comments, and the only one who replayed and walk through the video of our house layout which I’ve sent to further discuss. Schubert was also very attentive in looking at our collection of “moodboard pictures” which we gathered for the meet up so as to allow him to understand more on our requirements. Despite the short timeline they had to complete our project, (and also the last min changes which we requested) Schubert and his team Weychyr, delivered our project to our satisfaction without any major delays. And as mentioned, we as clients made quite a number of last minute changes and requests but he had been very patient and never rejected what we proposed but gave only solutions. Just a potential area to improve was that they could probably present us with more alternative designs, something out of the box/ concept (interms of carpentry aesthetics), but this is not a major issue as we believed there’s reasons, so as not to make us more confused with other proposed designs and focus with what we want initially. Schubert was also prompt in his replies to our queries and provided us progress updates (photos) every now and then as I’m working in a shifts job and couldnt personally visit the site to monitor. Even now, after handover, Schubert also was prompt in his aftersales service and sent men over to rectify some minor details here and there. In all it had been a pleasant, productive and positive experience working with the most patient I.D, Schubert Ho! After meeting with 10 different IDs, we chose to go with Schubert from Anhans due to his professionalism, the aesthetic of his projects, as well as him being one of the only IDs who took our budget into consideration! There were several challenges with our project. Firstly that we are demanding clients working in the building industry, that our project timeline was very short, and that we requested many changes throughout the process. Schubert always made time to hear our concerns and requests, and he always made an effort to follow through with our ideas. I particularly liked how respectful he was in going through with the process, even with ideas that were not possible! He was always able to provide recommendations and consult on design as we needed. However, he was also able to be accommodating of our own aesthetic. We were also very happy with the many contractors that Schubert works with, and it is clear that he curates the contractors he works with in order to achieve a quality finish. Through the defects period, he was also very gracious in calling people back as required to rectify works. Of course there were some challenges along the way, particularly with trying to keep to the project timeline and ensuring that the many ad-hoc changes we requested were being actioned ASAP. However, I see these challenges as being related to our particular project constraints, as opposed to a reflection on Schubert or the calibre of his work. Throughout the process, Schubert always demonstrated a high degree of accountability. We would not hesitate to recommend Schubert to friends and family! We will also be engaging Schubert if we require any future work done to our unit.

It was such a pleasant experience working with Annie from Anhans. The whole renovation experience went very smoothly. Of course, there would be unforeseen hiccups or challenges but Annie has been such a supportive ID and very easy to work with to resolve them. Her eye for details, colours, openness to feedback and ideas are truly what we appreciated in helping us build the home that works for us. Schubert and Wey Chyr were fantastic to work with. This was our second renovation and we had some ideas what we wanted already. We met with 5 IDs and eventually decided on Anhans as they were the most value for money firm, plus they had very good designs which were in line with our envisioned themes for the house. We started renovations in November and needed to move in before CNY in January. Most other IDs we spoke to shared that it would be challenging due to the many holidays and that our project required more time, given that it would be quite extensive. However, Schubert was able to plan out the work schedules and completed the major works in time, for us to move into the flat. Not only that, they gave us many practical yet design-centric ideas throughout our renovations. Our house turned out much nicer that we had envisioned ourselves. They were responsive and answered to our questions even at night, to accomodate our work schedules. There were also many requests and changes that we had requested for and Schubert always patiently addresses them and accomodates the changes upon request. We engaged Schubert in 2H2021 to renovate our unit at Hazel Park. Since the unit was in its current condition for about 20 years, we decided to overhaul all toilets, kitchen and redo all wardrobes. We also asked Schubert to put in quite a few design features to maximise storage space so we don’t have to worry about it in the next few years. The project went smoothly and we were positively surprised by the amount of attention Schubert put in to discuss all the fine details of furniture design. Now one year plus upon project completion, all renovated items are working fine. Thanks for the great work of Schubert.

We engaged Anhans to take on the complete renovation of a 25-year-old, 3-bedroom condo apartment that was in virtually original condition. During the ID selection process, we felt that Schubert was the most effective communicator out of all the IDs we met. From the initial proposal, Schubert was able to suggest some ideas that showed that he gave due consideration to our renovation brief which was something we appreciated. As we were embarking on a full renovation of a 1582 sqft unit we needed to ensure that we were able to communicate well with our ID to complete the project within budget and on time. Schubert takes the time and effort to understand why certain requests were made and followed up with solutions in a timely manner, making the renovation journey a smooth one. During the renovation process, Schubert and his designer Wey Chyr were very proactive with updates. Changes that were discussed were quickly updated in the 3D renderings for final confirmation which most IDs would not go this extra mile. As mentioned by other reviewers, Schubert is meticulous and often would point out potential problems and propose solutions along the project. Schubert was able to meet our handover date and the final project was delivered was also exactly to the planned renderings. Rectification works after the handover was also handled seamlessly. Would definitely recommend Anhans and Schubert to anyone embarking on a renovation project.

We engaged Schubert from Anhans Interior Design for a renovation of a 13-year old 4-room HDB flat. The renovation took about 3 months. Design & Quotation – Schubert was able to propose renovation ideas and features that fit in with the overall broad theme that we had in mind, and was able reconcile the different preferences into a more consistent theme. This was hard to do as he needed to patiently draw out and articulate our preferences (which was not very clear at the beginning). He was also able to provide suggestions for us to consider and highlighted the practical implications of certain features, allowing us to make a more considered decision. The quotation was reasonable as well, and we kept within the budget Renovation Process – There were no major delays in the renovation process and Schubert and Wey Chyr (his staff) were responsive and kept us in the loop for the progress. One potential area to improve was that they could probably have more proactively raised or anticipated potential issues, but this is not a major issue in our opinion. We do not expect the renovation to be perfect in the first instance, and there would always be teething issues or unforeseen complications to deal with. What is key is the follow-up (even after the handing over of the flat), and this is where Schubert and Wey Chyr excel. They take pains to resolve all outstanding issues, and work to understand our concerns and work on the solutions. All in all, Schubert is a reliable and patient ID, who is able to understand our needs and preferences and meet them as best as possible. The end outcome was good (close to the proposed concept and renderings) and on time.

We considered four other IDs before choosing Anhans because of his confidence in his ability to complete our improvements within the specified, extremely tight time frame. We both found Anhans’ color scheme to be attractive because it was simple and neutral in tone. They frequently asked us how we planned to use the area, gave us helpful options, and assisted us in making some sensible decisions. Annie was fantastic from the beginning to the end of the process, and we hit off from the moment we spoke with her. She completely encapsulated the essence of our dream home and vibe into the home, and executed the renovation to the tee. Annie truly listened to our requests, wishes and conditions – even taking our living habits into account. The shopping for items together with Annie, albeit tiring, was smooth and fun. She was aligned with us all the way and very often chose the same items as us, and explained long term considerations when she did not agree. She also was open minded and listened to us, not stubborn at all hence making it an easy collaboration. The contractors, workmanship were top notch, with strong pride in their work. We could barely find a single issue. Annie also managed this timeline very well, and managed our expectations as well as kept to the timeline closely, which helped for our planning and moving. Annie and Schubert also held their standards high and did not waver, even insisting on changing certain components that were not 100% to their acceptance. We appreciated that very much. The post completion service is also sublime. Annie has proactively made arrangements with contractors to rectify any issues she identified (which even we did not notice). All in all, we cannot be happier and more grateful to Annie as well as Schubert for everything, the result we have seen is truly a home of our dreams. Thank you very much, truly!

(a) At the start of our renovation journey, we met with several ID firms. Schubert neither provided the lowest quotation nor gave us the quotation in the quickest time. What set Schubert apart was his professionalism and dedication to our renovation project. Schubert took the time to understand our requirements over the phone. A few weeks later, when we met him at his office to discuss the quotation, we understood the reason why he needed to take time to prepare his quotation. His quotation was meticulously prepared accompanied by photographs and illustrations. We were impressed with Schubert’s ability to sketch out our ideas on the fly which helped greatly in our visualisation. At the same time, he offered practical advice on the choice of materials, functional design, and project timeline. We decided to work with him to build our home.

(b) During the design phase, we were confident that we made the right decision. Schubert’s experience and passion guided us throughout the project. It ranged from small and overlooked details such as how the doors of the cabinet open, whether the space was maximised or cluttered if the size of our sink and WC is practical. For the bigger items on the renovation agenda, Schubert expended a lot of time to design the house according to our requirements and budget. He gave us good advice on material selection and cost. He was also very patient when explaining his design and space layout. On occasions when my wife and I just cannot agree on a common design/ material, we can always rely on Schubert to be the tie-breaker.

(c) We left the renovation proper in Schubert’s good hands. We were kept appraised on the renovation progress through regular updates and photographs. When the project encountered issues caused by new Covid-19 restrictions, Schubert was able to quickly reallocate resources and adjust the works to ensure that the renovation stayed on schedule. The whole process was largely uneventful in a good way.

(d) Schubert also provided great after-sales service. After renovations, Schubert continued to be responsive in scheduling his team to assist us to rectify minor issues. Our renovation journey with Schubert had been an enjoyable one. We are very happy with the completed renovations, and we look forward to going back home after each day of work. For that, we must thank Schubert.

Schubert was very professional and meticulous in his dealings with us. We contracted his service just after CB and gave him a very strict timeline to deliver to us the project. Schubert planned the entire renovation schedule to meet the timeline even though there was general lack of labour due to covid restrictions. The first one was feeling: Schubert’s patience and willingness to listen, not a touch of arrogance or “I know better” were very good points from the outset. Then there was a very objective reason: he was the only one who proposed a project within my budget range. The only one. Well, future proved me right. Schubert strived to give solutions to my sometimes difficult ideas. He never rejected what I proposed but gave only solutions. We started off our search for our ID by looking for designs for apartments with a similar layout as ours. We came across a beautifully designed flat on Qanvast that was done by Annie from Anhans. We then set up a first meeting with Annie, viewed her portfolio, sealed the deal and never looked back since. Throughout the journey of building our dream home, Annie exhibited the following traits that mark an outstanding ID: 1) Creative, experienced and artistic – she was able to produce a spacious, open and airy design that capitalized on the natural strengths of our flat. She was also able to astutely assess different materials and swatches for floor tiles, wall tiles, paints, curtain textures etc, and derive the best combinations for our flat. We went with almost all of her artistic choices and are very happy with how our flat turned out. 2) Trustworthy project manager – she ably managed different specialist contractors in supervising the works on the site and sending us regular updates of the progress of different works. She also delivered the completed flat to us within our desired timeline. 3) Patient and prompt – she was patient with our many questions and would always address them promptly. She is very client-centric – she would patiently listen to the client’s needs and wants and do her best to provide options that fit our needs/wants. She also attended to our last minute requests for discussions/meetings to iron out important decisions. 4) Goes the extra mile – she provides value-added services in the form of helping us to receive delivered goods at our site, and advised us on our soft furnishings as well, applying her creative eye to aid us in making many decisions. 5) Defects rectification – after handover, she promptly saw to the rectification of defects and followed up to our satisfaction. We are so glad and thankful to have found Anhans and Annie to design our dream home for us, as they have made the journey so meaningful, enjoyable and fruitful for us. We would strongly recommend them to anyone looking for a good and trustworthy ID that delivers quality work.

So how did we end up with Schubert. Well, the usual. First ID seemed amazing – overpriced & bailed when we were about to commit. Introduced us to another ID who was taking us for a ride in price. We could not find a fit with the third ID. And so we went around asking for people who had any decent experience (hard to find in SG based on feedback). So someone introduced Anhans, and we thought “how much worst could it get?”. From the get-go, Schubert wow’d us with his ability to listen to us and to sketch on-the-spot what he thought was his interpretation of what he had heard. In the session before the confirmation (when others would normally show a 2D sketch), Schubert showed us a complete mock-up on his laptop. That was the moment we knew that Anhans was the partner for us, and that is the difference in quality between Schubert and the others we had met. I stress the word “partner” because in renovating our first home, Schubert was not only active in telling us when our ideas simply did not make sense, but he was also very constructive in giving us options. He was punctual and clear in his updates, his creative eye is phenomenal, his attention to detail precise, and the peace of mind he gave us was bliss. From the very beginning, Anhans stood out as they were the only ones who sent intro slides and was able to visit the house on short notice. I had a great time working with Schubert. Not only is he very detailed oriented and has a good eye for design, he was also super patient as we went through numerous changes/iterations to the plan. All in all, we were pretty satisfied with the workmanship. Our main quibble was with the parquet flooring but Schubert and team tried their best with rectifications even after handover. Schubert made the whole renovation so much smoother and I truly could not have done this without his help. We decided to engage Schubert from Anhans after meeting quite a number of interior designers, because he was able to propose practical and attractive designs which fit into our budget. Schubert was able to provide very relevant and practical suggestions in areas we have never even thought about. For example, suggesting to install a 2-way switch for the living room so that it’s easier to turn on/off the lights at night; shifting the door of the toilet to make the shower area more usable. These are small improvements which we really appreciate after moving back into our home. His attention to details also deserves a mention. For example, installing of the door swing limiter on the toilet vanity counter so that the mirror mounted on the cabinet door doesn’t knock into the towel holder next to it. These may be small things, but it gave me peace of mind knowing that he has considered even these. Throughout the project, Schubert has been very accommodating to our schedule and has been very patient with me and my wife who can be very fickle when it comes to making choices. Generally we are very happy with the workmanship, we’ve moved back for more than 2 months now and everything is good so far. There were some very minor defects, but they were all promptly rectified within a couple of days. Overall we are very satisfied with the final product that was delivered.

My interior designer, Annie, was great to work with and very responsive too. She was able to modify the design based on my feedback and needs. She helped to choose the furnitures, lightings, wall painting and cushions as well. She even made arrangement for the furniture and electrical appliances delivery too. Good after-sales service. After seeing a few IDs, we decided to go with Anhans Interior Design. From the start, Schubert, our ID, impressed us with his professionalism. Besides giving us a quotation like other IDs, he took a step further by drawing up a draft 3D picture of our place based on what he gathered from us during the site visit. This is important as it enables us to visualise the design. He was able to capture the feel of the home that we wanted and given that his price was also competitive, we decided to go with him. During the journey of renovating our place, Schubert was meticulous in his planning. He would give us constructive advice based on his understanding of our lifestyle. We liked that he prioritizes our well-being in our new home. For instance, while we were initially contemplated having a walk in wardrobe in our bedroom, he shared with us that doing so might prevent us from having the space to have a baby cot should we need one in the future. Also, he would take the initiative based on his experience to offer us tips on what we can do to make our lifestyle more convenient. He suggested for instance getting a lazy Susan for the corner kitchen cabinet so that we wouldn’t have to bend down and reach within to get stuff. Instances like this made us happy that we chose to go with Anhans Interior Design. One of the reasons why we chose to go with an ID was also because we didn’t have much time to be as invested in the process. Besides the buying of household furniture (which Schubert gave us his views on as well) and kitchen appliances etc, our involvement was minimal after all purchases were made, and Schubert took charge of the entire renovation. He would update us on the progress via a WhatsApp group and sought our advice there. Even after the renovation was over, Schubert’s after/service is still good. To be honest, I am not someone who writes reviews. To begin with, I am not easily impressed and not to mention, these things take time and I have very little of that! Our renovation journey: 1) Annie helped with all the paperwork submissions, from reno permit, demolition/hacking permits to OpenNet fiber optics cables relocation etc. We never had to worry a thing 2) On the day of taking over of the apartment from the previous owner, Annie was present with her team. They took photos, indicated on every photo on what work will be done and what to expect during renovation…amazing!! 3) Annie is able to provide suggestions and come up with quick solutions with impeccable taste. I will always listen to her and really glad I did! Everything turned out great! 4) During the 8 weeks reno period, Annie was always on-site to check on contractor work, updates us with sending us a lot of photos. She also help with the receiving of furniture, Lights, wallpapers, sanitary wares, ceiling fans, curtains etc. In fact, she helped with EVERYTHING! Can you imagine, you buy something for the new apt and you put Annie as the contact person! She will liaise with the retailers/vendors with delivery and installation! This is really too good to be true!! 5) Handing over of the apartment was smooth and timely. Touch up work was done very well, again Annie was on-site to see it through and she will upload photos to keep us informed on the work done. It was indeed an experience more than a process as Schubert was able to capture the vision we had for our home and ask inquisitive questions that were both practical and inspirational. As a first time homeowner, we came across Schubert’s portfolio after combing through the internet. When selecting an ID or company to work with, there were several top of the mind conditions that we found important to my now husband (then boyfriend). After shortlisting a few IDs, we decide to engage Anhans Interior Design as we have seen their quality of materials and the works done at one of their customer’s house as sometimes what you see in the showroom may differ from what it actually going to be. Annie was our designer for our new HDB home. She was recommended to us by someone who was very satisfied with her design job.
